In a crazy world, we can sometimes get overwhelmed. That feeling of overwhelm, I believe, starts at home. Sometimes the clutter and chaos we have in our own homes comes out into the world with us and that feeling of overwhelm sticks with us. However, you’re in luck. You can free yourself of that feeling of overwhelm….or at least reduce it.
I’ve always been a little obsessive-compulsive and honestly, I think that’s helped me a bit. Why? Because I’ve been able to keep an organized home and life to help me stay balanced. I’ve done this through planning, list writing and organization. And even though I still get overwhelmed from time to time, I feel overwhelm less and less.
Having an organized life starts with decluttering and removing things from your home and life that don’t bring you joy when they once used to. This process of decluttering includes anything from clothing to books to kitchen ware to sports equipment…you name it! And like many people, you may not even know where to start. That’s where I come in.
Where overwhelm starts in the home, that’s where we start. We schedule a day, I come to you, we have a 30-minute consultation and together, we decide where to start, how much time we think we’ll need and what, if any, materials we’ll need. The process of organizing your home may take a day or several days, but it will be the start of a whole new way of thinking. During the process, we’ll talk about the items you have in your home and you’ll learn about list building, how having a place for everything in your life is key and how feeling joy can have a big impact in the decluttering process.
